During the statewide Town Hall event, Local 535 volunteered to cover the event for us. The State Council extends a heartfelt thank you for all your hard work. Special thanks to Winnie Anderson for covering San Diego; Tom O’Connor for covering LA, Don Evans for covering the South Bay and Debbie Macias and Carlos Rivera for covering Fresno. 	Phoury Chhun/ Los Angeles County Chapter Question #1: Do you think Governor Schwarzenegger should be re-elected? "Another four years of Governor Schwarzenegger will mean a lot of trouble for the poor and the middle class. Working families will find it difficult to survive under his leadership. Question #2: What do you think about the SEIU Town Hall endorsement process? "This town hall makes me proud to be a member of SEIU. We need the right person to put California on the right track for working people and working people should be part of the decision making process."
	Edward Acevedo/ Harbor Regional Center Question #1: Do you think Governor Schwarzenegger should be re-elected? "Californian's have seen through Schwarzenegger's gimmicks and the latest script he has been handed to read from. He belongs back in Hollywood where he can't threaten those who depend on the Lanterman Act-which Schwarzenegger attacked the minute he was sworn in. Question #2: What do you think about the SEIU Town Hall endorsement process? "SEIU has given myself and everyone else here this morning and across the state to take a stand and advocate for the people we serve in our communities."
	Veronica Santos/ Los Angeles County Chapter/ DCFS Question #1: Do you think Governor Schwarzenegger should be re-elected? "We definitely can't allow another four years of this Governor. The waste of the special election, attacks on our pensions, threatening to contract out public sector jobs-four more years? Definitely not! Question #2: What do you think about the SEIU Town Hall endorsement process? "I am excited about getting to work to elect a new governor and that is the most important thing about today. Our voice is being heard and it is important now to bring more people to the this effort."
	David Green/ Los Angeles County Chapter/DCFS Question #1: Do you think Governor Schwarzenegger should be re-elected? "If we allow the governor to be reelected it will be like taking two steps backwards after the huge victory and progress made with last November's special election. We've seen him break his promises to schools and to vote against the interests of working people. Question #2: What do you think about the SEIU Town Hall endorsement process? "The town hall process is great. I feel like I'm part of and integrated into the process-that I have a voice."
	Annette Jeffries/ Los Angeles County Chapter/DCFS/ President SEIU Local 535 Question #1: Do you think Governor Schwarzenegger should be re-elected? "We have to terminate Governor Schwarzenegger. He has been devastating to working people and working families. He has created conditions that require parents who were already working long hours to be away even more from their children as they try to cope with economic realities that harm working families. As the governor he has undermined the core principles of family values. Question #2: What do you think about the SEIU Town Hall endorsement process? "The town halls are an example of SEIU's pivotal role in state politics. This is a powerful experience to see it, feel it and be part of it across the state. This is about working people being united on their issues and acting in their best interests."
	Marilyn Shepherd-Leake/ Los Angeles County Chapter/DCFS/ Secretary SEIU Local 535 Question #1: Do you think Governor Schwarzenegger should be re-elected? "Another four years of this Governor will be devastating. Everything we as working people have spent years building will be out the door. It will be a disaster for healthcare and education at all levels across the state. Question #2: What do you think about the SEIU Town Hall endorsement process? "This is the first town hall I've experienced. Moving into the 21st century with our new slogan "Change to Win", all the technology we see here today and the experience of the special election that focused us all on the same cause and put aside turf fights makes me hopeful we will do it again in November 2006."
	Tony Bravo/ Los Angeles County Chapter/DCFS Question #1: Do you think Governor Schwarzenegger should be re-elected? Reelecting this Governor will be a disaster for working families. It will destroy our way of life. We will lose all the gains we've made through bargaining over many decades. Question #2: What do you think about the SEIU Town Hall endorsement process? "These town halls give us a sense of empowerment and demonstrates that SEIU is a formidable force for working families. We have a say-a voice-in who we support in the coming election."
	Elva Marino/Kaiser Permanente Sunset/RN Question #1: Do you think Governor Schwarzenegger should be re-elected? "I believe re-electing the Governor will have negative consequences. We can't have someone as governor who doesn't support healthcare for everyone. Anybody who shows up in an emergency room-undocumented immigrants too-should get the care they need. This governor has also tried to sabotage the patient/nurse ratios we worked so hard to get. Question #2: What do you think about the SEIU Town Hall endorsement process? "Really good to see everyone supporting each other here. We are give the chance to have our say."
